WHATS HAPPENING AT REMAr

Welcome to our first Remar Church fortnightly newsletter...

Here you will find out about what has been happening in the ministry, what is coming up, and get to know your church a little better.

Who is Remar?

Remar is a unique and special ministry with a vision to see lives transformed and relationships restored by the power of God. Our church may be small compared to others, but we are LARGE in the impact we make!

We are Family!

More than a church though, we are a Family.

Church as a family is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Bible. In the book of Ephesians, chapter 2, verse 19, it says, "So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God." This illustrates that as believers, we are not just individuals coming together, but we are part of a larger spiritual family.

Just like a physical family, the church is meant to provide support, love, and care for one another. In Romans 12:10, it says, "Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor." This emphasizes the importance of treating each other in the church with love and respect, just like how family members would treat one another.

We are One Body!

In 1 Corinthians 12, there is a beautiful analogy of the church being like a body, with each member playing a unique and important role. Just as a family functions best when each member contributes and supports one another, the church thrives when each believer uses their gifts and talents for the common good. No matter our past, we can always be effective for Him who saved us.

Ultimately, viewing the church as a family reminds us of our interconnectedness, our shared faith in Christ, and our commitment to walk alongside one another in this journey of faith. Let’s always strive to love, support, and care for one another as a family united in Christ.

Thanks for visiting us and our Church Family. You are always very welcome.

A personal reflection on Last Sunday's Sermon - Sand & Stars

A man without vision shall Perish – Proverbs 29:18

Last week’s sermon by Pastor Luis got me thinking about why I need to have a vision for my life. The bible says having a vision is a matter of life or death. Not literally of course, but what is life when you are dead on the inside? Have you ever felt dead on the inside? I have. In reflecting back, it has been in seasons of my life when I lost hope, I felt like I have nothing significant to contribute to in this world, I am not valuable, I am worth nothing. Have you ever felt like this before? I am in a very different place now. I believe I do have a vision for my life and just thinking about the future gets me excited because it is not just wishful thinking or daydreaming about where I’d like to be in 5-10 years from now, but they are dreams in my heart that have come alive as a result of finding who I am in Christ. You see when the vision comes from the right source – it brings joy with clarity. It gives you a fight in your soul like no other. More importantly, when you have voices in your head that tell you, you cannot do it, you feel the fear and do it anyway because there is a voice greater than that in your life that declares; You are made new. You are loved. You are set apart. In your weakness HE is strong. You have a purpose, and it starts where you are right now.

Let’s take time this week to sit with the Lord and ask him to reveal the desires of your heart. Write them down. Pray over it and seek His wisdom. What is God asking you to do right now, in this season, to help you set sail towards your vision?

Thank you Jesus for my life. I surrender to your purpose and plan for my life. I give you all the desires of my heart and ask for your will to be done. Guide me in your ways Lord and show me the way I should go. Amen.
